The difference between salvation and redemption

🐩

Dear lovers of Christ and gospel commanders, you are once again, welcome to this blog post. We are going to highlight some differences between salvation and redemption with some Bible verses as a backup.

This blog post will encourage everyone to understand these two concepts, as it will enable and guild us to no more about God's infinite love for humanity.

        What is salvation?

Salvation is the act of being safe from sin and death. In Christianity, salvation is the act of God's grace, whereby he saves us from our sins and grants us eternal life. Salvation is not something we earn, rather it's something we receive freely as a result of God's love, and mercy.

For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourself it is the gift of God: (Ephesians 2:8)

This is the greatest gift of God for his children, love, it was because of the love of God we were free from sins and death. He saved us regardless of our sinful acts and Evil nature.  God's love is the greatest gift mankind has ever received. We are created in his image. He loves us unconditionally and wants nothing more than eternal life for us. In return, we should strive to love others as much as He does.  As a Christian, it's very much great to practice and reciprocate the same love for God, because we were created in his image.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
Thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. ( mark 12:30)

A Christian hopes that by accepting the sacrifice of Christ, they are saved from this life and forever saved in the afterlife.

Difference between Salvation and Redemption

Redemption and salvation are two different concepts that are often confused. Redemption is a gift of God's forgiveness. While salvation is the process by which we open ourselves to receive this gift of Christ's grace. The Bible records that those who trust in Jesus Christ will be saved (John 3:16). We can't receive salvation until we believe in Him first. Once we do, the Holy Spirit begins to work on our hearts and minds, starting a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Redemption is the forgiveness of sins, while salvation is the forgiveness of sins that are yet imputed to us through faith in Christ. Redemption and salvation are often used interchangeably; however, their differences should be understood. Redemption pertains to the removal of sin from a person’s life and unto eternal life, while salvation speaks of those who have been saved from eternal condemnation through faith in Christ,

Salvation is God's work in our lives through the death, burial, and destruction of Jesus Christ. While Redemption is God's act of reassuring us from sin and restoring our relationship with him.

Salvation and redemption are similar. They both involve a new relationship with God. Yet salvation includes only the forgiveness of God through faith in Christ, (Ephesians 1:7).
While redemption involves God's reigning power.

            Prayer

Prayer is a spiritual program in the Christian world that aims at salvation. In the beginning and now, God has always called people to pray in this way: "Come, let us reason together," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them white as snow; though they are red like crimson, I will make them clean as wool." (Isaiah 1:18)

I believe in God and that Jesus Christ is my savior. I pray for the salvation of my soul. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen

       Conclusion

Pray to God, because salvation is offered to sinners. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and deserve death (Romans 6:23), but God has given us a chance to be saved through His son Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9). He has died for our sins and was raised for our justification. Join others in praying for salvation and being forgiven through Jesus Christ.
